Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to introduce students to the intensive care unit and its equipment, teach the roles of physiotherapists in intensive care, and provide knowledge on physiotherapy and rehabilitation-specific assessment and treatment plans.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
By successfully completing this course, you will be able to:
1. Understand the intensive care unit, the intensive care team, and the equipment used in the intensive care unit.
2. Recognize the objectives, indications, and contraindications of physiotherapy in intensive care.
3. Evaluate patients in the intensive care unit and develop appropriate treatment plans.
4. Apply evidence-based approaches in clinical decision-making and physiotherapy practices in intensive care.

Course Content

Intensive care unit and its equipment, teach the roles of physiotherapists in intensive care, and provide knowledge on physiotherapy and rehabilitation-specific assessment and treatment plans.
