Course Objectives: The objectives of this course are enable students to gain knowledge about conceptual basis of public relations, to introduce practices of public relations in health ınstitutions in the world and in Turkey, to be acquired communication skills akin to public relations and give information about management of public relations, corporate identity, corporate ımage and corporate reputation in health care organizations.

8- Explain applications of public relations in health care organizations,
9- Give examples about practices of public relations in health institutions in the world and in Turkey.

This course covers general principles of public relations in health care organizations, target audience of public relations, conceptual basis of public relations, basic objectives and principles of public relations, the roles and importance of communication in public relations, communication tools and methods used in public relations, organizing of public relations, public relations in health care organizations, applications of public relations practice areas, applications of public relations in health care organizations, the management of public relations, corporate ıdentity, corporate ımage and corporate reputation in health care organizations, ethics and public relations, practices of public relations in health ınstitutions in the world and in Turkey.
