Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to allow students to gain practical skills in administration and leadership by training them in educational institutions. Internship sites maybe selected from a variety of different placements.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
- Define and explain management and classroom management concepts
- Develop various techniques to make classroom communication possible and efficient
- Use classroom time effectively
- Create class rules by him/herself and/or with the students
- Define unwanted student behaviour
- Intervene unwanted student behavior
- Develop a positive learning environment in classroom
- Know about the relationship between management of instruction and leadership
- Know to apply what perspective of classroom management to which type of students

Course Content

Introduction to classroom management, social and psychological factors effecting student behavior, classroom environment and group interaction, developing rules regarding classroom management and discipline, time management in classroom, motivation, communication, behavioral problems in classroom and how to prevent those, creating a positive learning environment, different philosophies of discipline and personality fit, teacher behavior continuum, limit setting, incentive systems, alternative classroom management models.
