Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable the students with the necessary knowledge and skills regarding education and administrative law in educational settings and implement these into school settings.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
- Know about the legal processes and activities in educational organizations and transfer these into school settings.

- Understand the importance of law in educational settings and discuss about these principles.

- Know about the basic principles regarding education and discuss about these principles.

Course Content

Judicial state, administrative law organizations, basic principles effecting our administrative system. Sources of administrative law. Public officers, matters and methods of investigation, assignment of investigators and report writing. Judicial and administrative investigation. The structure of educational administration and auditing in Turkey. School as a system. Personnel affairs, employment and transfers, employee rights, records and discipline issues. Student affairs, registration, leaves, attendance, transfers, health and security, exams, graduation, diploma. Analysis of judicial texts within Turkish educational system with reference to basic concepts of law.
