Course Objectives: The objectives of the course are to enable students to identify and evaluate factors affecting health, to understand the importance of health promotion and protection, to learn health strategies required for disease prevention and health promotion of individual, family and the community.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Define the concepts of health and disease.
2. Design the theoretic structure of health promotion programs
3. Analyse the factors affecting community health.
3. Define the global strategies for health promotion

Course Content

This course covers subjects related to the concepts of health and disease, protection of health, levels of disease prevention, health education, healthy life behaviors, strategies for health promotion and health promotion programs.

11) To acquire insight in EU project culture and to build up project preparation skills in line with EU format and develop the ability to work in groups and cooperate with peers. 2
