Course Objectives: To increase the knowledge about the formation of safety culture by knowing the risk factors and protection methods students encounter in their working life.

At the end of this course students;
1) To have basic knowledge about Occupational Health and Safety, in this context important definitions and concepts knows.
2) OSH historical development, learn the world and in Turkey until the developments.
3) To have knowledge about national and international institutions and organizations and major organizations in the field of OHS.
4) Has enough knowledge about legal norms and binding contracts.
5) learn the content of safety culture and safety culture and the precautions to be taken for culture development.
6) Know precautions to be taken against danger, risk and risk factors and methods of implementation.
7) Work accidents, accident research techniques learns.
8) Learns the principles of planning and implementing OHS management and OHS trainings.

Course Content

This course covers the health factors, criteria about health, the history of employee health, the concepts of employee, public and environmental health, the occupational health/occupational accidents/occupational diseases, the concepts of occupational health and safety at work, the responsibilities of the employer, the employee's rights and responsibilities, safety, technical and managerial measures for employee health, the employee health and safety responsibilities of the government, the occupational safety and health at work, labor law practices in Turkey.
There is a 70% attendance requirement.
