Course Objectives: The objectives of this course are enable students to gain knowledge about organizational behavior of the individual in an organization and to discuss individual and organizational results. From this perspective, the individual behavior will be discussed in views of micro and macro approaches; in micro approaches as an indicator of individual behavior, attitudes, behavior, personality, motivational issues will be discussed. In macro approaches organizational power, politics, change, organizational development, individuals in the group, stress and conflict management, organizational culture, leadership and teamwork issues will be analyzed.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
o Explain the conceptual framework of the organizational behavior science,
o Explain the organizational behavior of the individual in the context of cause and effect relationship,
o Summarize the results of the individual and organizational behavior,
o Comment on the concepts of perception, communication, attitudes and behavior,
o Explain groups, formation of the groups and the importance of groups in organizations,
o Compare the theories of personality,
o Comment on theories of motivation,
o Make inferences about learning theories,
o Explain leadership theories comparatively,
o Explain the stress management and conflict management approaches,
o Explain the approaches about organizational change, organizational development, teamwork.
o Explains entrepreneurship and innovation theories in organizations

Course Content

This course covers conceptual framework of the organizational behavior science, organizational behavior of the individual, results of the individual and organizational behavior, perception, communication, attitudes and behavior, groups, formation of the groups and the importance of groups in organizations, theories of personality, motivation, learning theories, leadership theories, stress management and conflict management approaches, organizational change, organizational development and teamwork.
