| Course Objectives: | The objectives of this course are enable students to gain knowledge about information on health expenditures in Turkey and in various countries, to examine public and private sector health care spending in our country, general information on matters related to health market and to teach methods of economic evaluation of healthcare services. |

The students who have succeeded in this course; o Summarize the conceptual framework of the health economy, o Explain the concepts of health economics, features and system properties, o Be able to comment on health expenditures in Turkey and in various countries, o Explain how can be overcome public and private sector health expenditures, o Explain economic events regarding to the healthcare market, o Be capable of economic evaluations of health sector, o Compare resources of healthcare services, o Explain health sector in Turkey and the activities in the economy, o Analyze problems related to the health economics. |
| This course covers the conceptual framework of the health economy, the concepts of health economics, features and system properties, health expenditures in Turkey and in various countries, public and private sector health expenditures, economic events regarding to the healthcare market, economic evaluations of health sector, resources of healthcare services , health sector in Turkey and the activities in the economy, problems related to the health economics. |
