Course Objectives: The main objective of this course is to provide information on healthcare service providers and service areas of civil law, criminal law and administrative law to examine the rights and responsibilities in the context of national and international health legislation.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
• Explain the basic principles and the conceptual framework of law generally ,
• Classify the rights of patients and health care workers,
• Summarize the process of legal relations in health care services and medical interventions,
• Explain responsibilities in the process of health care and medical intervention,
• Make comments about the criminal responsibility of health professionals,
• Explain organization's administrative responsibilities in the process of health care and medical intervention.

Course Content

Basic principles and the conceptual framework of law, the rights of patients and health care workers, process of legal relations in health care services and medical interventions, responsibilities in the process of health care and medical intervention, criminal responsibility of health professionals, organization's administrative responsibilities in the process of health care and medical intervention.
