Course Objectives: | This course objective is train phsiotherapist for the rehabilitation team of language-speech and swallowing rehabilitation. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Describe the extent to which language disorders and speech disorders are separated from each other. 2. Describe the language development disorders, diagnosis and treatment seen in children. 3. Describe the diagnosis and treatment of speech disorders (articulation disorders, phonological disorders, palatal clefts, stuttering, voice disorders) seen in children. 4. Explain the diagnosis and treatment of children's and adolescent voice disorders. 5. Describe the diagnosis and treatment of language-speech disorders (aphasia, head trauma, apraxia, dysarthria, right hemisphere) acquired in adults. 6. Describe swallowing function, disorders, diagnosis and treatment in children and adults. |
This course includes; basic consepts of laguage-speech and swallowing disorders diagnosis and treatment, assesment methods for schedule the rehabilitation, treatment principles and protocols. |
