Course Objectives: Design Studio gives students the opportunity to engage with the broad field of architecture on a variety of scales and subjects applying a multitude of design and research methods, preparing them for the spatial demands of society and livable environments in their future studies based on basic knowledge they have taken in different undergraduate architecture programs.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
I. Develops the conceptual and theoretical knowledge further taken in undergraduate architectural education.
II. Conducts individually a research and interpretions of the results on a selected topics in Architecture.
III. Develops alternative solutions to design problems using critical thinking on a selected architectural topic.
IV. Communicates the results of studies orally,visually and written media.

Course Content

Discussions on contemporary design discourse; Solutions and case studies; Theoretical and conceptual backgrounds of selected design approaches; Contemporary approaches on these subjects; development of alternative solutions.
