Course Objectives: This course is built up to emphasize how procurement may support the enterprise business strategy, and also how the materials and resources are acquired and delivered to meet the needs of SCM operations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
• Support of the enterprise strategic plan for the desired product/service quality, customer service, and total cost.
• Integration with the production and logistics.
• Development and implementation of e-procurement systems and tools
• Measuring performance of the process and suppliers to determine the economic value-added impact.

Course Content

The course emphases the importance of procurement for the firm while covering the whole procurement process starting from order placement to the order fulfillment. In the view of supplier relationship management, supplier selection and evaluation processes will be investigated. Legal and ethical aspects of procurement will be discussed.
