Course Objectives: Seminar course aims at developing student’s ability to present and discuss the results of a qualitative and / or quantitative study which is carried out individually on a selected topic using conceptual and practical knowledge gained in architecture and related disciplines, verbally or with other visual media tools in front of the audience.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Design a research on a topic selected in accordance with his/her own interests and approved by the course coordinator in the field of architecture and/or related interdiciplinary study areas.
2.Conduct the designed research.
3.Interpret the results of the research.
4.Communicate the results of the research.

Course Content

To present a subject, individually searched and prepared, in front of an academic jury and peers in relation to Thesis-I and propose a thesis statement and outline.

Teaching Methods and Techniques Used in the Course: Individual Study, Case Study, Fieldwork, Problem Solving, Project, Other.

1) Introduction to the Seminar Course Araştırma konusunun seçilmesi ve kısa bir öneri hazırlanması.
2) Overview of Research Design and Methodologies Preparing a draft research framework.
3) Literature Review: Identifying Key Resources Conducting a preliminary literature review and preparing an annotated bibliography.
4) Refining Research Questions and Objectives Revising research questions and aligning them with selected methodologies.
5) Preliminary Research Findings Organizing initial data and preparing visuals (charts, diagrams, or sketches).
6) Drafting the Presentation Structure Outlining the flow of the presentation and identifying key discussion points.
7) Discussion on Presentation Draft and keywords
8) Critical Analysis of Research Progress Preparing a report on feedback and revising the research approach.
9) Visual Communication Techniques for Presentations Designing effective slides and visuals to enhance audience understanding.
10) Draft Presentation Rehearsal Practicing the presentation and incorporating visual and verbal communication techniques.
