Course Objectives: | This course aims at developing students understanding of why and how the architecture is shaped according to changing 'ideas'. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; I. Defines the etymological roots of the concept of tectonics in Architecture, II. Explains how the architectural end product is affected by changing'ideas', III. Evaluates the reasons behind the changes/thresholds in the idea of form in architectural history through the concept of tectonic IV. Criticize the contemporary architectural developments in terms of tectonic theory. |
