Dersin Amacı: Bu ders, Ege’nin ev sahipliği yaptığı iki ülkenin, Yunaistan ve Türkiye, insanlarının ilişkilerini disiplinlerarası bir perspektifle modernleşme ve millî devlet oluşumu çerçevesinde inceler.

Öğrenme Kazanımları

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler;
1. Öğrenciler Ege bölgesinin geçmişteki kosmopolit ve barışçıl beraber yaşam hakkında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
2. Öğrenciler, İmparatorluktan millî devletlere geçiş sürecinde Rum-Türk ilişkilerinin geçirdiği dönüşümü, diğer bir deyişle Yunan-Türk haline gelişi, hakkında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
3. Öğrenciler iki millî devlete ev sahipliği yapan bölgnin ekonomik, ve sosyal-kültürel hayatını inceleyerek bölgenin dinamiklerini disiplinlerarsı bir yaklaşımda değerlendirebilirler.
4. Öğrenciler eleştirel düşünme yeteneği geliştirirler.
5. Öğrenciler önde gelen uluslarası akademik çalışmalar hakkında bilgi sahibi olurlar.
6. Öğrenciler çeşitli bilgilerin sentezini yapıp düşüncelerini açık ve anlamlı bir şekilde ifade edebilirler.

Etnisite ve Yunan-Türk Milliyetçiliği çatışması üzerinden imparatorluktan millî devlete geçiş sürecinin yarattığı durumu kirtik ederek uluslararası bir perspektifte incelemek.
