Course Objectives: The purpose of this course it to ensure that the masters degree students are equipped with detailed information on international organisations as person of international law

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Students who successfully complete the course will:
1. Comprehend the definition and fundamental characteristics of international organizations and compare them with other international institutions.
2. Learn about the historical emergence of international organizations and the reasons behind their establishment.
3. Gain knowledge of different classifications of international organizations.
4. Understand the establishment process and procedures of international organizations, the fundamental characteristics of founding treaties, and the rules regarding their interpretation and amendment.
5. Grasp the regulations concerning membership in international organizations, including the acquisition and status of membership, suspension, and termination of membership, through case examples.
6. Understand the scope, consequences, and termination of the legal personality of international organizations, as well as their place in domestic legal systems.
7. Comprehend the powers, structure, organs, and decision-making processes of international organizations.
8. Acquire knowledge regarding the administrative and financial regulations of international organizations.
9. Enhance their theoretical understanding through case studies of the United Nations (UN), NATO, and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
