Course Objectives: | The course aims at evaluating financial markets and institutions in its global international setting. It begins with the concept of “financial assets”, their role in a modern economy and the role of financial markets. We will focus on financial intermediaries, their functions, a short review of their asset/liability management and recent developments, i.e., financial innovation, asset securitization and globalization. |
