Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to address the understanding of creativity and spirituality embedded in Turk & Islamic Art. The students will be exposed to the various types of arts including architectural monuments and outstanding examples of decorative arts in all the various media-pottery, metal work, textile, carpet weaving, glass and jewelery. |
Course Content: | Students will describe historical development and features of Turkish and Islamic art, recognize art works in Turkish and Islamic art especially architectural Works and minor arts. |
